Drum washing bays are very aggressive exposures that need a coating system that can handle frequent cleanings, abrasion and chemicals. This manufacturing facility needed a complete rehab of their drum wash bay and turned to Steve Elliott with Southern Painting & Maintenance Specialists to ensure the project got done right. Steve and his team chose Tnemec materails to complete the high-performance resinous flooring and wall systems. The walls were completed using 100% epoxy system with a novolac topcoat. Then a urethane concrete system with a novolac topcoat resinous flooring system was installed to lock in the wall. This seamless wall-to-floor transition ensures no cold joint for water or bacteria to get behind the coating system. This wash bay is now protected for many years to come.
