Monroe Water Treatment Plant Basin

Coating Consultant: TSE

When the City of Monroe needed to remove a failing lining and install a new high-performance lining, they called Nick Vause with TSE. to help with selecting the best lining option. The design team decided to specify a SSPC-SP13/NACE 6 Surface Preparation of Concrete ICRI CSP 5 surface preparation followed by a concrete repair coat of Tnemec 217 MortarCrete with a Tnemec Series 22 Epoxoline lining system. Crom was the low bidder and did a very nice job with the surface preparation and installation. The result was a great-looking basin that is now protected via this Tnemec high-performance lining system. Monore was so pleased with the outcome of this project, that they plan to complete the next couple of basins using this same system.
