Tnemec Series 215ML Mat Reinforced Epoxy Lining used to protect membrane filter tanks for the city of New Brunswick, NJ
Membrane filter tanks present a challenging environment for long term performance of a protective coating material. Extended exposure to treatment chemicals as well as routine thermal cycling through back-washing can be detrimental if the right coating system isn't used. Atlantic Coating Consultants was asked to help specify a high-performance coating liner when the previously installed 100% solids epoxy material failed inside of 12 months (see photo 1 below). Tnemec Series 215ML Mat Reinforced Epoxy Lining was selected due to its proven performance in micro and ultra-filtration process tanks. The NSF 600 Certified fiberglass reinforced epoxy lining system, has a 30 year design life which lowers the cost of ownership and maintenance responsibility to the owner.
