When Austin Windham presented Tnemec's Aerolon insulation coating system for thermal breaks to the Steele Group....they had just the project for this cost savings coating system. Aerolon provides thermal stability and controls condensation on steel and concrete building components, such as relieving angles, lintels, cantilevered beams, canopies and balconies. Aerolon can be applied in-shop or onsite, giving specifiers and applicators a more flexible and effective option to combat thermal bridging than a designed structural break with a thermal break pad. Pro-Tec Finishes did a great job with the user-friendly application. Now this building envelope will be protected from moisture. Aerolon also helps to fulfill the ASHRAE 90.1 requirement for "insulation that is continuous across all structural members without thermal bridges". The result is a more thermal efficient building material solution that provides a cost saving to the project team.
