This vessel owner seldom dry-docks,  only every 7-10 years.  With that in mind, they needed a solution for protecting ballast tanks from corrosion for a variety of commodities.  From primary wastewater or seawater to fuel oils, this owner required a coating that can withstand immersion in each.

Tnemec Series 141 was a perfect fit.  Fast recoat windows offered the painter a quick turnaround, and a wide variety of chemical resistance ensured to the owners that no matter what chemical was pumped into the ballast tanks, the coating would protect the steel.

In this instance, Series 141 was new to the painter - Hunnicutts.  Feedback from Drew Sabrowski, "our foreman said this was the easiest coating he has every sprayed.  We look forward to using it again on future Ballast or Potable Water tanks and will be pushing owners to consider it for other projects".
