Multiple highly skilled Tnemec contractors took on a historic project in Baltimore’s prominent Fells Point neighborhood. After the steel structure was exposed by demolition contractors, an industrial coatings contractor removed the existing lead paint from the structure. Tnemec 90-97 Tneme-Zinc was applied to provide industry leading corrosion protection. Construction continued until it was time for an architectural high performance coatings contractor to apply the intermediate coats and Fluoropolymer finish. Due to the high profile exposure of the steel, Tnemec Fluoronar was chosen to provide 30+ years of color and gloss retention. In addition to the structural steel, other steel items were coated as well, including cannons found in the bottom of the harbor during construction.
